Tendril is a director-driven creative studio based in Toronto, Canada. It is a lab and workshop where directors, designers, artists and developers from diverse backgrounds create powerful visual storytelling experiences, employing a wide range of styles and techniques.
Challenge
It’s an animation studio, that’s why it requires a delicate balance between smart design and simplicity. The challenge was to create an experience that felt sophisticated yet minimal, without compromising on impact. We aimed for a clean, intelligent design that mirrored the studio's expertise while staying true to their identity. In a field saturated with complex visuals, our goal was to strip down the experience to its most essential elements, while still delivering a visually engaging and innovative interface.
Role
As an art director, I led the project from concept development to the final launch. I explored multiple design concepts before refining it to a sleek, streamlined version that resonated with the studio's identity. My role involved not only crafting visual elements but also designing high-quality motion experiences to enhance user engagement. I worked closely with the developers, ensuring smooth transitions and flawless functionality, while conducting thorough QA to maintain the highest standards post-launch.
